Improper deck install led to water and carpenter ants. This caused extensive damage to the structure of this Georgian bay Cottage. When demolition was started, damage was significantly more then anticipated!
Structural framing was necessary to repair load bearing walls of this two story cottage. Removal and replacement of insulation, house wrap, flashings and new cedar siding was installed then stained in spring time.
Decks were reinstalled with correct flashing in spring as well.
Emergency repair was completed in just nine days with winter conditions.
